Surrey Eagles forwards Miles Burgin and Ryan Evenhuis and Nanaimo Clippers forward Dylan Kinch have been named the NAPA Auto Parts 3 Stars of the Week.
1st Star of the Week – Miles Burgin (F) – Surrey Eagles
In three games last week, Burgin recorded seven points (four goals, three assists), including a two-goal, three-point performance in a 7-1 win over the Coquitlam Express, while also posting a goal and an assist in in Surrey’s other two wins against the Prince George Spruce Kings and Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
The third-year BCHL forward has already set a career high in points with 30 in 33 games. Additionally, he leads the team in goals with 16.
The 2006-born forward is currently on a 12-game point streak dating back to Nov. 29.
2nd Star of the Week – Ryan Evenhuis (F) – Surrey Eagles
Evenhuis started off the week strong for Surrey, as the Ontario native had a four-point performance (two goals, two assists) against the Prince George Spruce Kings in a 7-5 Eagles win last Wednesday
He followed up that performance with two helpers in a game against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, then found twine for a goal the following night in his team’s win over the Coquitlam Express, giving him seven points in three games.
Overall this season, Evenhuis has 10 goals and 21 assists in 37 games, ranking him second on the team in points.
3rd Star of the Week – Dylan Kinch (F) – Nanaimo Clippers
Kinch recorded back-to-back multi-point performances for Nanaimo over the weekend with five points in two contests.
The Calgary, Alta. product notched three assists in the Clippers 7-4 loss to the Powell River Kings on Friday, then followed it up with two goals, including the game-tying tally, in a bounce-back 3-2 overtime win the next night.
In 35 games this season, Kinch has 21 goals and 22 assists, good enough for 49 points. He leads the Clippers in points, goals and assists and ranks top-five in the BCHL in both goals and points.
