Nanaimo Clippers goalie Evan DeBrouwer has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 16, the league announced Monday.
DeBrouwer stopped 74 of 77 shots in a pair of road wins, including a 46-save shutout of Penticton. The product of Blenheim, Ont. was named 1st Star in the shutout win and turned aside 28 shots in a 4-3 win in Trail. He had a .961 save percentage and a 1.50 goals-against average in the two victories.
After dropping his first three BCHL decisions, DeBrouwer is now on a personal three-game win streak.
