Rookie Surrey Eagles defenceman Devon Toews has accepted a scholarship to attend Quinnipiac University.
An Abbotsford native, Toews has scored four goals and eight assists in 25 games with Surrey this season which puts him second on the team in defenceman scoring.
The 5-foot-11, 165-pound blueliner becomes the fifth Eagles player to earn a scholarship this season.
Quinnipiac competes in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference and there are currenly eight BCHL graduates on the men's hockey roster.
