NHL Central Scouting released its Midterm Rankings today ahead of the 2025 Draft and four current BCHL players were listed, along with two league alumni currently playing their freshman season in the NCAA.
#91 North American Skater – Francesco Dell’Elce (D) – University of Massachusetts (Penticton Vees)
Dell’Elce is currently enjoying a standout freshman season at UMass, leading all Minutemen defencemen with 14 points in 21 games.
In 2023-24, the King City, Ont. product played his lone BCHL season with the Penticton Vees, posting 38 points in 54 games, again leading his team in scoring from the back end. At season’s end, he was named a Second-Team All-Star and a member of the All-Rookie Team.
In the postseason, Dell’Elce helped lead the Vees to their third straight appearance in the Fred Page Cup Finals, collecting eight points in 22 contests.
#149 North American Skater – Jeremy Loranger (F) – Sherwood Park Crusaders
Loranger is the BCHL’s leading scorer so far this season with 59 points in 34 games. He also ranks second in the league with 22 goals, just three back of top spot, and second in assists with 37, four back of the league leader.
The Trois-Rivieres, Que. native has at least a point in 29 of his 34 games played and started the season on a 15-game point streak. He has registered multiple points 17 different times.
He is committed to the University of Nebraska Omaha.
#154 North American Skater – Kale Dach (F) – Sherwood Park Crusaders
Dach is second behind his teammate Loranger in the BCHL scoring race, piling up 52 in 34 contests. He has gotten most of his production through assists, leading the league with 41 helpers.
The 17-year-old is in his second season in the league, after notching a point per game in 12 BCHL contests last year.
Dach is committed to Penn State University.
#157 North American Skater – Poul Andersen (F) – Sherwood Park Crusaders
The third of three Crusaders to make the Midterm Rankings, Andersen is tied for fifth in BCHL goal scoring with 20 in 32 games and tied for ninth in points with 37.
The St. Louis Park, Minn. product put up nine points over his first five games to start the year and has not looked back. He is currently riding a three-game point streak with three goals and three helpers over that stretch.
Andersen is committed to the University of Maine.
#200 North American Skater – Max Heise (F) – Penticton Vees
Heise is the Vees second leading goal scorer with 16 in 31 games, while his 23 points are tied for fourth on the team.
This is his second BCHL season after he totaled 19 points in 49 games during his rookie year in Penticton and helped the Vees reach the Fred Page Cup Finals.
Heise is committed to Michigan State University.
#213 North American Skater – Drew Hockley (D) – Quinnipiac University (Victoria Grizzlies)
Hockley started 2024-25 with the Victoria Grizzlies, his second season with the team, and went on a tear to begin his year, piling up five goals, four assists and nine points over his first three games.
He would end up with 24 points in 23 contests before he got the call to join Quinnipiac University a year earlier than expected and begin his NCAA career in December.
The 19-year-old has now suited up for six games with the Bobcats.
