Victoria Grizzlies alum Matt Ginn of the Holy Cross Crusaders was named the Atlantic Hockey goalie of the week.
Ginn went 2-0-0 on the week with a 1.00 goals against average and a .938 save percentage. He made 30 saves and allowed two goals in the two wins over Canisius.
In the 3-2 victory on Dec. 2, Ginn posted 16 saves and recorded his first collegiate assist. Then on Dec. 3, he notched his first collegiate shutout as he made 14 saves in the 4-0 win. Gin is now 5-5-0 on the season and has made 252 saves.
In 51 games last season with Victoria, the Lindsay, Ont. product went 29-21 with a 2.86 goals against average, .915 save percentage, two shutouts and led the BCHL with 1,543 saves.
