Jacklin takes second straight rookie nod for Colonials

A week after getting his first Atlantic Hockey rookie of the week recognition, Robert Morris Colonials freshman and Trail Smoke Eaters grad Scott Jacklin picked up another one.

In a record-setting weekend for the Colonials, Jacklin closed out the first RMU sweep of the season by extending his goal-scoring streak to five games – tying the Colonials record.

The Kimberley, B.C. native ended the weekend with three goals and an assist and is now tied for fourth in the league with six goals on the season.

Jacklin opened the weekend with a goal and an assist in RMU’s 5-2 win over the Pioneers before closing the series with a pair of goals on Saturday. Robert Morris is unbeaten during Jacklin’s five-game scoring streak.
