For the second consecutive season, Peter Kiewit & Sons Construction will sponsor a FREE Powell River Kings game while asking fans to help their local food bank.
This year's free game is set to take place on Thursday November 5th at 7:00 pm when the Kings host the Surrey Eagles. For that game, Kiewit invites fans of all ages to come to the arena and enjoy an evening of free British Columbia Hockey League action and community spirit.
The doors open at 6:15pm and Kings fans will want to be there early as there is only room for the first 1,700 in attendance.
Kiewit and the Kings are also challengings fans to bring non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Powell River Food Bank.
“The Kings organization is wonderful. We are so grateful to them and Kiewit for sponsoring this event,” added Powell River Food Bank Manager Gina Kendrick. “Our donations are low this couldn’t come at a better time.”
Last season a full house enjoyed exciting Kings hockey while donating three Kiewit trucks full of food for needy Powell River families.
