Langley Rivermen forward Zac Masson has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 22, the league announced Monday.
Masson had two points in each of three games, all wins for the Rivermen. Masson opened his week with a pair of assists and 2nd Star in a 6-2 win in Coquitlam and topped that the next game with a pair of goals – including the game-winner – and 1st Star in a 6-2 home win over Chilliwack. The native of Newmarket, Ont. closed his week with two more assists in a 5-2 win over the Powell River Kings where he was the FortisBC Energy Player of the Game.
The six-point week moves Masson into third in team scoring with 40 points on the season.
