Players and coaches chip in for sick kids at Dreamlift Day

Westside Warriors players and coaches rolled up their sleeves and put in shifts at their local Wendy's restaurant in support of Wendy’s DreamLift Day, which was held on Wednesday, January 26th.

All proceeds for the day, including staff, management and ownership wages, were donated to the Sunshine Foundation of Canada – BC Interior Chapter. The funds are earmarked for DreamLift to Disneyland so children with a severe physical disability or life-threatening illness can experience a magical day in Disneyland.

During the lunch hour head coach and general manager Darren Yopyk, wwner Mark Cheyne and associate coach Brent Gough lent their services to this great cause.

During the evening, players Tom Kroshus, Tyler Brickler, Max and Tyler French, Izaak Berglund and Kevin Boyle helped staff prepare sandwiches, pour drinks, clean dishes and serve up some smiles.
