Hockey Canada announced on Thursday that ticket packages are now on sale for the 2009 RBC Royal Bank Cup, Canada’s National Junior A Championship. The event will be held from May 2nd to 10th, 2009 in Victoria, with all games taking place at the Bear Mountain Arena.
A full tournament package, including all 10 round-robin games, both semi-finals and the championship game, as well as access to the opening and closing ceremonies, is available in advance of the championship for $235.00 including GST, a savings of $50 over the individual game price for all games. Individual game tickets are not yet available for the 2009 RBC Cup.

“Working closely with Hockey Canada, the organizing committee for the 2009 RBC Royal Bank Cup has had its nose to the grindstone in preparing for this prestigious event,” said Len Barrie, chair of the event host committee.

“The entire organization is excited to play host to Canada’s most prestigious Junior A tournament,” said Grizzlies general manager Jackson Penney. “The City of Victoria has been successful in hosting World Junior Hockey Championship exhibition games, the BC Hockey League All-Star Game in 2005 and 2008, and a Vancouver Canucks training camp, but none will compare to the magnitude of the 2009 RBC Royal Bank Cup.”
