The Prince George Spruce Kings would like to congratulate Shannon and Klaus Ofner of Prince George, winners of the fourth early bird draw in the 28th Annual Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery.
Ticket number 0134 was drawn on Sunday night at 8:00pm out of the Show Home Lottery draw barrel at the house in the Aberdeen Glen Subdivision. The ticket was purchased during the first week of the lottery at the Show Home located at 2638 Links Drive and was among the 4,796 tickets in the draw barrel for the Early Bird draw of a $2,000 gift card from Canadian Tire.
Six early bird draws remain leading up to the grand prize draw for the $376,000 Show Home on February 14, 2010. The Show Home Lottery has sold out both of the previous two years and with 64% of the available 7,500 tickets available already purchased, is on pace to sell out again this year.
Into its 28th year, the annual lottery is in support of the Prince George Spruce Kings Junior `A’ community owned hockey team. “The Show Home Lottery generates up to 75% of team’s operating capital,” said Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery manager, Jim Young. “This is incredibly important to the existence of our hockey team and for us to be receiving this support from the community and beyond is fantastic.”
“This winning ticket was purchased at the house and that’s no surprise,” continued Young, “People that visit the house fall in love with it right away. It is a rancher that maximizes space and has a great live-in functionality to it. People coming up to see the house are quick to buy a ticket for themselves or someone on their gift list.”
The next early bird prize draw will be on Sunday December 20, 2009 for a 32″ HD TV from the Northern Hardware. Other early bird draws include a $3,200 Rona Gift Card (Jan 17) as well as a three trips from Japatedon Travel & Cruises. A Las Vegas Get-Away will be drawn on January 24, a Mexican Riviera Cruise for two on January 31 and a Disney Family Vacation on February 7.
