November 26th, 2008 – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced today the roster for Team East at the upcoming 2008 CJHL Prospects Game. Summerside, PEI will host the 2008 CJHL Prospects Game, a showcase that will see the best Junior A hockey players in the country compete at Credit Union Place on December 16th & 17th.
The 2008 Team East roster is composed of 11 players from the OJHL, 6 CJHL players, 2 MJAHL players, and 1 NOJHL player. The Team East Roster includes 11 prospects who recently competed on Team Canada East at the 2008 World Junior A Challenge in Camrose, Alberta. Seven of the prospects on Team East were listed as “Players to Watch” by NHL Central Scouting in October 2008.

The player selection is a combined effort of the CJHL and NHL Central Scouting. Team East and Team West will each consist of two goaltenders, six defensemen and twelve forwards. The roster for Team West was announced earlier this week and is available at www.cjhlhockey.com.
The CJHL Prospects Game will feature players from the CJHL’s five Western leagues – the British Columbia Hockey League, the Alberta Junior Hockey League, the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, the Manitoba Hockey League and the Superior International Hockey League competing against the best players from the CJHL’S five Eastern leagues – the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League, the Central Junior A Hockey League, the Ligue de hockey junior AAA du Quebec and the Maritime Junior A Hockey League.
Team East and Team West will playoff for the President's Cup, which is awarded to the winning team at the CJHL Prospects Game.
