The Grizzlies defeat the Express 4-2

Shawn Parkinson came up big, stopping 26 of 28 shots throughout the game. The Victoria Grizzlies took the lead early in the third on a goal from Jamie Rome.

Alex Newhook did his part, adding 3 assists and Lucas Clark contributed with 2 assists.

In the first period, Toor opened the scoring for Coquitlam with a goal at 10:52 with helpers from his linemates, Delorme and Wagner.

In the second, Hopps answered for Victoria with a goal at 9:24 with a helper from Newhook. Nother netted a goal at 17:30 with assists from his linemates, Clark and Newhook.

In the third period, Rome put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:18 with an assist from his teammate Clark. Ambrosio answered for the Express with a goal at 6:36 with a helper from Wildauer. Michaelian answered for Victoria with a goal at 15:01 with assists from Doran and Newhook.

The Grizzlies’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Parkinson’s big night as he stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced. On the other hand, Parkinson’s counterpart, Cooper, and Coquitlam’s defense did not have such a great night allowing 4 goals in 24 shots.

This win brings the Victoria Grizzlies’ record to (4-2-0-0).
