The Vipers defeat the Eagles 5-4

The Vernon Vipers' offense had a big night, peppering the Surrey Eagles with 37 shots throughout the game. The Vernon Vipers took the lead late in the third on a goal from Jordan Sandhu.

Jagger Williamson delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Tanner Wishnowski did his part, adding 2 assists. Ty Westgard contributed with 3 assists.

During the first, Wesley opened the scoring for Surrey with a goal at 6:19 with helpers from his linemates, Westgard and Sterzer.

In the second, Williamson answered for the Vipers with a goal at 4:13 with a helper from his teammate Wishnowski. Wesley answered for the Eagles with a goal at 7:33. Wesley netted a goal at 11:25 with assists from his linemates, Burgart and Westgard. Lansdell answered for Vernon with a goal at 13:26 with helpers from his teammates Young and Williamson. Stapley deposited a goal at 18:56 with assists from Lambert and Judson.

In the third, Mokhtari scored a goal at 16:01 with helpers from Wishnowski and Ufberg. Sandhu quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:45 with an assist from Lambert. Wesley answered for Surrey with a goal at 19:45 with helpers from his linemates, Westgard and Stewart.

Vernon’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Taylor as he stopped 20 of the 24 shots he faced. Taylor’s counterpart, Horawski, also had a big night, managing to stop 32 of 37, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Vernon Vipers’ record to (7-1-0-0).
