Udahl joins Boston University

The Coquitlam Express are proud to announce Forward Erik Udhal  has accepted an offer to play for the Boston University Terriers starting this January semester.

The Terriers play in the Hockey East Conference, and are located in Boston Mass.

‘We are extremely proud of Erik,” said Express Head Coach/General Manager Barry Wolff. “His work ethic and desire to improve his game are two big reasons he is getting this opportunity. It is a tough time to lose a player to the next level, but this is why we are in Junior hockey, to help move the players to the next level.

“This is a great opportunity for Erik to go to a great program and a school close to his home.”

“I would like to thank Coach Barry Wolff and the Coquitlam Express for a great first half of the season,” said Udhal, who is from Walpole, Mass. ” I am very sad to be leaving, but Boston U is my dream school and I am very excited to face every challenge thrown at me. I wish the Express the best of luck with the rest of the year and will miss everyone in the organization deeply.”

Other BCHL alums currently at BU are goalies Sean Maguire and Connor LaCouvee as well as forward Mike Moran. In Hockey East conference play, the Terriers face schools such as New Hampshire, Boston College, Northeastern, Notre Dame and Vermont.
