Wenatchee Wild forward AJ Vanderbeck has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 4, the league announced Monday
Vanderbeck had six goals and two helpers in three games, all wins on home ice for the Wild. The native of Monument, Colorado opened his week with a pair of goals in a win over Powell River and topped that with a hat trick – including the game-winner – and one assist in a victory over Langley where he was 1st Star. The Ohio State recruit had a goal and an assist in a win against Coquitlam to wrap up the week.
The 6-foot, 180-pound forward is now tied for second in the BCHL with 32 goals and is 10th in overall scoring with 54 points in 41 games.
