Vees, Bulldogs, and Chiefs victorious Saturday

There were three games played on the Coast Saturday as the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, Penticton Vees, and Langley Chiefs were all successful in adding another win to their totals.

The Vees were in Surrey to finish off their home and home series with the Eagles and were once again on the right side of the scoreboard with a 4-3 win.  Joey Holka scored once and added an assist while Beau Bennett earned two helpers in the Penticton win.  Sean Bonar made 27 saves in the Vees goal to record another win.

There  was not much to say about the Alberni Bulldogs other than total domination as they hammered the visiting Williams Lake Timberwovles 9-1 at the Dog Pound.  David Dziurzynski was the top point getter on the night as he scored twice and added three assists.  Mitch MacMillian picked up a hat-trick and an assist while Kevin Ross was good for four helpers.  Scott Lewan turned aside 16 of 17 shots to get the win in goal.

The Langley Chiefs were also flying high on Saturday as they disposed of the Quesnel Millionaires 7-1 at the Langely Events Centre.  Josh Myers scored three times for the hat-trick while Tim Daly and Brandon Thompson shared top point getter honours each with a goal and three assists.  Mark Friesen was the winner in the Langley goal as he stopped 37 of 38 shots.
