Vees down Chiefs, haven’t lost since Nov. 5

Trailing 1-0 after a period, the Penticton Vees scored three times in the second frame to get all the scoring they'd need in their 20th consecutive victory, a 6-2 road win over the Chilliwack Chiefs.

Garrett Forster's goal for Chilliwack at 12:13 of the first was the only scoring of the first 20 minutes but Mike and Connor Reilly put the Vees ahead in the second  and Steven Fogarty's with 20 seconds left in the period proved to be the winner.

Travis St. Denis notched a pair of goals in the third with Joey Benik getting the other. Derek Huisman had the other Chiefs goal, a power-play tally in the second that briefly tied the game.

The Merritt Centennials got goals from seven different players in a 7-4 win in Salmon Arm. Evan Stack's power-play effort in the second was the game-winner as the Cents tallied four times in the middle frame. Morgan Zulinick had a goal and an assist for Salmon Arm.

Brett Knowles had three assists in his first game with the Cowichan Valley Capitals and helped the team to a 7-4 road win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. The Caps scored twice in the first minute of the game but the 'Dogs tied it in the second on goals by Trent Dorais and Tyler Berkholtz. Logan Proulx's unassisted goal was the winner at 17:15 of the second.

The Powell River Kings broke the Surrey Eagles' seven-game unbeaten streak with a 3-1 road triumph. Evan Richardson's goal 15 seconds into the second stood up as the winner with Cohen Adair adding the insurance on the power play in the third. Steve Koshey had the lone Eagles goal in the first.

A five-goal third period allowed the Nanaimo Clippers, who had 56 shots on Langley's Jim Kruger, to come from behind and down the visiting Rivermen 6-2. Trailing by a goal going into the third, the Clips tied it on Kyle Kramer's tally and went ahead on a goal by Tristan Lowenberger before Colton Cyr added a pair. Mario Puskarich and Mike Tebbutt had the Langley goals.

The Victoria Grizzlies earned a 4-3 road win over the Vernon Vipers with Mike Moran getting the winning goal at 15:11 of the third. Vernon led 2-1 after one on goals by Michael Zalewski and Darren Nowick but Victoria tied it up after two with Wesley Myron and Dayne Ellison scoring. 1st Star Garrett Rockafellow had 30 saves for the win.

In Prince George, the Westside Warriors scored the first and last goals of the game but five Spruce Kings goals in between were the difference in a 5-2 win. Dru Morrison had the only goal of the first before PG's Paul De Jersey scored twice in the second including the game-winner after a Ben Matthews tally. Marcus Basara had the other Warriors goal.
