Donaldson racks up points, POW honours

CDonaldsonPowell River Kings forward Cam Donaldson has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 2, the league announced Wednesday.

The native of McKinney, Texas recorded two points in each of three Kings wins on home ice and factored in the 3 Stars each game. Donaldson scored twice and was 3rd Star in a 7-1 win over Nanaimo to open his week. He followed that with two more goals, including the game-winner, in a 5-3 victory over Vernon where he was 1st Star and he wrapped his week with another 1st Star after a double-overtime game-winning goal plus a helper in a 3-2 defeat of Victoria.

Donaldson, committed to Cornell for next season, had five goals and an assist for the week to move up into fourth in Kings scoring.
