In Week Four of the B.C.H.L. season the Penticton Vees remained undefeated in regulation time while the Alberni Valley Bulldogs got their first victory. The Vees opened up their brand new arena with a win over the Westside Warriors who they also play on Friday night. Penticton is a lifetime 22-2-0-1 versus Westside including playoffs and exhibition games. 17-year-old rookie forward Garrett Milan from Vancouver is currently on a six game point streak for the Vees. A key for the Warriors this season has been scoring first though as they are 5-0-0-0 when they get the game's first tally.

Injuries are starting to pile up as the season continues along. Brodie Reid of the Burnaby Express returned on Friday night but suffered another injury and had to miss Saturday and Sunday. Another offensive force for the Express in John Bokla missed the last three games after posting eight points in his first six games. Max Grassi and Alex Valenti have pitched in to carry the offensive load with six and five game point streaks respectively. Burnaby also benefits from scoring the game's first goal as when they do they are 4-0-0-0 but when they don't they are 0-4-1-0.

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks have also been bitten by the injury bug as in their last game four forwards sat out of the lineup. Two forwards in the lineup in Mark Zengerle and Conor Morrison have supplied much of the offense with both on five game point streaks with 11 points each in those last five games.

The Cowichan Valley Capitals have been thin on the backend recently with Matt Ridley and Jimmy Geerin missing time and Jesse Shiels leaving their latest game. Good news is that Cody Adams will return after his three game suspension. Mickey Spencer has busted out of an early season slump in a big way with seven points in two games over weekend after only one point in his first five games.

Also missing defenseman are the Surrey Eagles who have lost five straight games and have been without Cole Gelley, Nolan Toigo, and Johnny Mahovlich. Forward Andrew Christ is also out with an injury. However goaltending might be the biggest concern in Surrey as head coach Shane Cuss told Michael Booth of Surrey Now, “The third goal in both games (last weekend) were weak goals,” Kuss fumed. “There's no way else to put it but we can't afford to let those weak goals in. I know we're fragile right now and everybody goes through tough times but we're better than what our record is. If we make those easy saves, then I'm sure our record would be better.” The rest of the article can be read here.

Milos Gordic of the Langley Chiefs one of the hottest players in the league with eight goals and three assists in his last five games. This after he registered only one goal and one assist in first five games. Teammate Derek Grant, meanwhile, saw his eight game point streak end Thursdsay versus Nanaimo.

Darcy Oakes of the Powell River Kings has a seven game point streak with 13 points in those games whereas Clay Harvey is currently on a five game point streak.

The Vernon Vipers' rookie forward Mike Collins from Boston, Massachusetts is on a six game point streak and leads his team in scoring.

Finally Paul Forster of the Merritt Centennials leads the league with three shorthanded goals already whereas goaltender Jeff Malcolm of the Quesnel Millionaires has played in every single minute of his team's ten games including a four game in four day stretch over the weekend.
