Quartet of BCHL alums earn NCAA All-American nods

Twenty-four players, including returning first-team selections Brian Dumoulin, Justin Schultz and Jack Connolly, were honored Friday by the American Hockey Coaches' Association as it announced its All-America teams.

Seventeen schools had representation on the teams, with three selections from Union leading the way. Boston College and Ferris State, which meet Saturday night in the NCAA championship game, each had two honorees.

Eleven of the honorees are seniors, while 11 have already signed NHL contracts since their seasons have ended.

On the first team, Westside Warriors grad Schultz and former Penticton Vees standout Austin Smith got recognition while defencemen Mat Bodie, a former Powell River King, and Trail Smoke Eaters alum Dan DeKeyser were included on the second team
